When should I book my Makeup/Hair for my wedding?
Once you have confirmed your wedding date, we suggest that you book your makeup and hair immediately. We recommend 6-9 months before your wedding date.. A non refundable 30% deposit and a signed contract is required to secure your date.
What is a Makeup/Hair trial session?
A makeup and hair trial/ preview session is recommended to ensure that we achieve the perfect look for your wedding day! Our artist will spend 2-3 hours with you to design the look that is suitable to enhance your beauty and match the style of your wedding. For your trial/ preview session visit, there will be a full makeup application and two different hairstyles. Our artist will also provide pre-makeup skin analysis and skin care recommendations.
A bridal trial will allow you to get to know your stylists. Understanding and trusting your stylists will help you feel more confident on your most special day and to see a sneak peak of what you will look like on your wedding day. This will be a great time to check for any sensitivity on the skin and test the durability of the make up before the wedding day. You will get the opportunity to give us honest feedback and make any adjustments needed to create the look that is best for you. If you are not happy with the first attempt, you must speak up. It is normal practice to make adjustments in order to achieve the look required and an experienced artist will not be offended but will appreciate your input- the hardest part of their job is to find your limits and what makes you feel comfortable.
We want our bride to be completely satisfied after their preview session. The artists will do their best to ensure that you will achieve the look you want! We want your experience at beauty and bloom to be comfortable, relaxed, and fun!
What do I need to prepare for the trial/ preview session?
You may bring images of inspired makeup and hair looks, wedding dress, wedding accessories, and/or your wedding theme, color, and style. Note: sometimes the makeup/hair image you bring may not look exactly on you. Everyone has different bone structures, skin color, face features, skin tone, etc so just be open to other options to create the best look for your face type. This is why meeting a professional makeup and hair artist is crucial so we can communicate the best look for you.
Can I use my trial session as my engagement session?
The trial is specifically designed for your wedding day and the engagement makeup and hair is a more casual look. Therefore we highly recommend scheduling the services separately.
Do you recommend any hair and makeup tips to prep for the big day?
In order to create a more flawless look for your special day, there are some things we highly recommend you do, especially the night before your trial and wedding day!
Hair tip: We recommend that you wash your hair the night before the trial/wedding day to see better results. If not, you can wash your hair the day of the trial and make sure your hair is fully dry before we start the trial session. tip:: Please do not use conditioner.
Makeup tip: The key to flawless makeup application will be having good skin condition. Your daily skin routine is very important so be sure to use a gentle cleanser, hydrating moisturizer and sunblock with at least an spf of 30. Using a brightening and hydrating face mask three times a week will be beneficial for a healthy glowing appearance. Exfoliate your skin at least three times a week to clean out the dirt and oil that is clogged up. We highly recommend getting frequent facials.
